📣 Here’s a connection point I didn’t mention: ✏️ If we did this problem on a hundreds chart (see my previous video), think about what would happen when adding the ones. We would start at 56 and move 4 spaces to the right. We would reach 60, and the end of the chart. We would pick up our pencil, move to the next row, and move 3 more spaces from 61 to 63. 💡 This is exactly what is happening on the number line when we make a pit stop at 60. It is a natural breaking point in our counting. 💡 Addin
