Went Bilberry picking today! July and August are PEAK Bilberry picking months. In fact, it is tradition to pick Bilberries on the last Sunday of July or the first Sunday of August! They look just like Blueberries but are smaller, BUT nicer, and apparently 4 times the levels of antioxidants too! They are great for snacking, fruit salads, desserts or my favourite, jam! Yes, they take some picking due to their size and the fact they grow low to the ground, but the views and results make it worth it
