The Swingtime Aces was one of the very few showbands who made a name for themselves in the ‘60s without the help of a hit record. Formed in the late ‘50s by bassist Jim Ruane and saxophonist Seán Glynn, who at the time was a teacher in Barnadearg, near Tuam
