Did you see the southern lights? 🌠 Aurora Australis put on a dazzling display last night. This time-lapse was captured at Surfer's Point in Prevelly last night. That was after the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) issued an alert for a severe geomagnetic storm. A geomagnetic storm so strong, Aurora Australis was visible to the naked eye all the way into Queensland, something we almost never see. The horizon glowed softly, meteors flashed through the night, and for a few quiet minutes the sky put on a show we’ll be talking about for years.
