Stewed apples are great as a part your meal or as baby food or a snack. My mother would stew a big batch of apples down for our family. This was her menu : big roasted ham, green beans, smother fried potatoes, stewed apples and cornbread. They make a wonderful side dish for your family. I put the left over apples in the refrigerator and eat them ice cold with a dash of cinnamon later in the day. If you have a little child at home, make this for them. It has no preservatives and no added sugars.
